Although structurally Eff is maybe the best of my girls, her head is not as soft and "cushy" as is desirable, so I have shown her only a little in the breed ring.  In the performance rings, I have only shown her to her Rally Novice title, but Effie is truly a BORN PERFORMANCE DOG.  I think she would be great at Agility -- I know she is great at Rally!  She is so fast she makes even my other dogs look slow, and they're all fast! She is a very intense worker and does instant border-collie-style position changes -- I mean, you give her a down signal and WHAM!  She is down!

Effie really deserves her name:  she is extremely affectionate.  She's also intense, excitable, cheerful, lively, and a pig at meals!  You never have to worry about Eff finishing her supper. 

Eff has plenty of really sound, healthy, long-lived dogs behind her.  Eff's hips are rated GOOD and as of spring 2009, her patellas are sound, so there's no reason to expect any problems there.  Her heart and eyes were cleared July 18, 2009, just barely in time to breed her July 23 & 24th, to the best stud dog in the country (not really exaggerating, here!).  She was confirmed pregnant August 21st and she should have the puppies September 22nd, 2009.

The male is truly stunning, and I'm hoping for some really exceptional puppies.

Because Eff is never going to shine in the breed ring and deserves a home where she can be the center of attention, I will place her out as a pet after she is bred.  Her new family, already arranged, will be a couple with four kids, so I calculate she should get . . . um . . . roughly 35 times more petting and attention in her new home than she can as one of my "pack."  Plus she will have a little black-and-tan Cavalier "brother" to lord it over.  I expect it will take her about two seconds to determine that she can be lead dog in that household.
